Depending on your injuries, you will be entitled to different benefits. Most people are entitled to medical and rehabilitation benefits. This benefit pays for things like physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic care. It will also pay for assistive devices for things like bars in your shower, long-handled scrubbers, and prescription medications.

If your insurer classifies your injury as minor, there is a $3,500 limit for your medical and rehabilitation benefits. If you require help with everyday tasks, such as showering, brushing your hair, changing your clothes, and moving around your house, you may also be entitled to an attendant care benefit. However, an attendant care benefit is not available for injured persons with minor injuries.

If your injuries are not classified as minor, the maximum available for medical and rehabilitation and attendant care benefits is a combined $65,000 over a five-year period. This cap applies unless you are determined to have catastrophic impairments. Catastrophic impairments have up to $1 million of funding for all medical and rehabilitation benefits and attendant care benefits.

If you are missing work as a result of your injuries, you could also be entitled to an income replacement benefit. This usually provides $400 a week for as long as your injuries prevent you from working. After two years of being off work, the tests will change, and your insurer is likely to reassess you. If you were not working at the time of the collision, you might also be entitled to an on-earner benefit.
