For more than 16 years, Anna Karlen defended a major insurer in complex personal injury litigation. This experience now powers her work for injured people at Preszler Injury Lawyers. Based in Toronto and appearing as a trial lawyer, Anna handles complex personal injury claims with a particular focus on sexual assault matters, bringing a practical understanding of how insurers evaluate risk, build cases, and approach resolution.
Anna began her career in 2008 as a civil litigator in Vancouver with one of Canada’s most pre-eminent firms. Over the years, she has managed files across the spectrum of serious harm, including catastrophic injuries such as traumatic brain injury, paralysis, and complex psychiatric injuries. She is licensed in Ontario and British Columbia.
Fluent in German and Swiss-German (and conversational in French), Anna values direct, clear communication with clients and counsel. Outside the office, you’ll often find her hiking or cooking with her family.
